Running back Bilal Powell of the New York Jets is riding such a momentum that he’s worth starting in Week 5 fantasy football action against the Cleveland Browns.

Last week, running back Bilal Powell was the talk of the NFL. He went above and beyond in Week 4  which helped push the New York Jets towards a stunning win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. In a game everyone expected the Jaguars to run wild against, the Jets ended up with a thrilling win in overtime for one of the biggest upsets of the week. Should fantasy football owners consider starting Powell this time around against the Cleveland Browns?

To be honest, absolutely! Powell is worth starting either as a FLEX option or even as an RB2 since he’s about to truly take off with the Jets. Last week against the Jaguars, Powell totaled 163 rushing yards, 21 carries, and a touchdown.

Remember, Powell also doubles up as a receiving option and against the terrible defense of the Browns, should continue doing some heavy damage. Expect to see him be used as both a ground and receiving option to continue being one of the most productive players on offense.

It was only a matter of time before the Jets wisened up to the fact that Powell is easily a difference maker and can carry this offense to heights one could only think about in Madden NFL 18. He’s a playmaker and once the football is in his hands, can make the most out of nothing.

With running back Matt Forte out this week due to a toe injury, expect to see Powell once again start and get the majority of reps at running back. His partner in crime Elijah McGuire should also see a good amount of reps but if a decision had to be made between the two, make sure to go with Powell since he’s going to once again continue making his name into a household one.

Start Powell and don’t even think twice about it. This could very well be the start of something special brewing for the Jets who many wrote off for the season before it even began. With high-quality players like Powell easing into a starting role and being a versatile weapon on offense, the Jets can continue building some serious momentum in Week 5 with routing the Browns to win their first road game of the season.
