Week 5 fantasy football presents a highly favorable matchup for the New York Jets. Wide receiver Robby Anderson is worth starting against the Cleveland Browns.

Heading into a fantastic matchup in Week 5 action, wide receiver Robby Anderson is set to go up against the Cleveland Browns on the road. The New York Jets have yet to win a road game but against the Browns, will more than likely earn their first victory as an away team. When it comes to his fantasy football value, Anderson is easily worth starting this week.

While Anderson doesn’t have the experience or skill-set to warrant being a WR2 option, he’s worth being a FLEX option for fantasy football owners out there looking for a quality option. Anderson started the season off slow but picked it up about two weeks ago.

Against the Miami Dolphins, Anderson rose to the occasion and delivered a fantastic outing which put the Jets in a position to leave that game victorious. He totaled his best game yet with 95 receiving yards, three receptions, and a touchdown.

More from Jets Fantasy Football

Last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Anderson totaled 59 receiving yards on three receptions but failed to score a touchdown. Fantasy football owners should rest assured that he will easily fix that this time around as the overall pass defense of the Browns won’t be able to contain his speed and ability to make a big play out of nowhere.

In the grand scheme of things, start Anderson as a FLEX option and keep an eye on him as the season progresses. If the Jets are able to have their offense click on all cylinders, Anderson will get his reps to not only keep those chains moving but possibly do some serious damage as a red-zone option.

Quarterback Josh McCown continues to be a quality game manager and tends to do well under pressure. Heck, he’s also worth starting this week since again, it’s the Browns we’re talking about here. A winless team that has young talent but are a few years away from everything coming together as envisioned.

Overall, start Anderson this week since it’s expected the Jets will exploit the defensive secondary of the Browns and attack early in this matchup. Expect to see Anderson do well as he’ll rack up some solid fantasy football points in Week 5.
