Heading into a Week 5 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse of the New York Jets has one of the highest upsides and is easily worth starting.

As the New York Jets prepare for their Week 5 road game against the Cleveland Browns, they’re entering a highly favorable matchup. Not only should the Jets beat the Browns but they might very well do it in brutal fashion. When it comes to the fantasy football value of wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, he’s undoubtedly worth starting this week.

Make no mistake about it, the Jets are going to make an example out of the Browns and if their offense is going to put up some serious points, it’ll be thanks to everything Kearse brings to the table. Kearse didn’t do much last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars but is poised to have his best game yet against the Browns this time around.

So far this season, Kearse has totaled 182 receiving yards, 18 receptions, and two touchdowns. Considering that he’s gone two entire weeks without scoring a touchdown bodes well for him to end that streak and haul in one or even two on Sunday.

Fantasy football owners would be wise to start Kearse this week as this highly favorable matchup makes him worthy of putting him in as either your WR2 or at the very least, a FLEX option. The reason he’s worth WR2 status is mainly thanks to the inconsistent pass defense by the Browns which leaves much to the imagination.

If the Jets come into this game and continue their momentum of back-to-back wins, their offense could literally (and surprisingly) put up the most points in a game this season. Yes, the defense of the Browns is that bad and the Jets offense has been efficient and steadily improving on a weekly basis.

Start Kearse this week and enjoy the plethora of fantasy points coming your way. Expect to see him put up some big points and hopefully, make some nice highlight-reel touchdowns for being one of the main catalysts on offense that routs the Browns.
