Heading into Week 4 fantasy football, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse of the New York Jets isn’t worth starting in the grand scheme of things.
The New York Jets are heading into a Week 4 matchup that could potentially derail their momentum from last week. The Jets actually won a game that many said they would lose to the Miami Dolphins. This time around, they’re playing another team from Florida that is a much tougher opponent. For fantasy football owners wondering if it’s worth starting wide receiver Jermaine Kearse this week, it’s an easy decision.
Unfortunately, the pass rush of the Jaguars defense will undoubtedly bring it to quarterback Josh McCown. It won’t be an easy day under center which will easily affect his receiving corps. Kearse is one of the top receiving options on the Jets but the defensive secondary of the Jaguars will more than likely contain him.
The Jaguars are historically known for always taking out premier receiving options to turn opposing offenses into one-dimensional ones. Expect to see the Jets try to establish the run with hopes of having some kind of impact but unfortunately, the Jaguars defense is pretty good against that as well.

It’s best to sit Kearse this week and find another viable receiving option if fantasy football owners are looking for sleepers this week.
The truth be told, Kearse has been doing well with the Jets but this is an unfavorable matchup for him and the Jets offense.

Don’t expect the Jets to win this one as Kearse should be a factor. It won’t be enough of one, however, that warrants starting him. Sit him in Week 4 but save him as next week he has one of the most favorable matchups of the season.
