Week 4 is upon us, and it’s time to talk kickers for your fantasy football lineup this weekend. Is it worth starting kicker Chandler Catanzaro of the New York Jets against the Jacksonville Jaguars?

The New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars will play, and the game will come down to who can impose their will better on defense. When deciding whether or not to start a kicker in fantasy football, you don’t necessarily look for a specific matchup like you do with other players. In fact, in a game like this one, you should start Jets kicker Chandler Catanzaro.

The game between the Jets and Jaguars this week should be a defensive struggle. So, it’s going to come down to special teams. It will be a battle of the kickers.

There will be a lot of field goals and not a lot of touchdowns. So, expect Catanzaro to make his fair share during this game.

More from The Jet Press

According to Pro Football Reference, the minimum attempts to make the career field goal percentage list is 100. Since Catanzaro has only 99 attempts, he’s not on the list. However, his 84.8 percent accuracy rate would be 12th on that list.

Seven players ahead of him on the list are active. So, he’s one of the most accurate kickers playing in the NFL today.

It’s also perfect that he’s on a young team like the Jets. The Jets won’t score a lot of touchdowns against Jacksonville. So, having a kicker like Catanzaro on your fantasy football team can help you win your game this weekend.

This could be a double-digit weekend for Catanzaro in terms of fantasy points. He could just be the player that sets your team over the top. Expect a minimum of three field goals from him.

Even if the Jets settle for five field goal attempts, it’s a safe bet he will make four out of the five, or even all five. You can’t go wrong in starting Catanzaro in Week 4.
