Heading into Week 3 fantasy football, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse is the top offensive target of the New York Jets. Start him against the Miami Dolphins.

Since the New York Jets acquired wide receiver Jermaine Kearse via trade before the start of the season, he instantly became their top offensive target. Not only is he the go-to target for quarterback Josh McCown but his fantasy football value continues to rise. This week, Kearse is set to go up against the Miami Dolphins but is he worth starting?

The truth be told, Kearse makes for a fantastic FLEX option this week. He’s going to get the most passes thrown his way and will continue to be a difference maker on offense for the Jets. In the grand scheme of things, he will also continue seeing the end zone.

Last week, Kearse totaled 64 receiving yards, four receptions, and two touchdowns. Now, the Dolphins tend to be very blitz happy as McCown will more than likely see a lot of pressure coming his way.

Regardless, if the Jets want to have a fighting chance at beating the Dolphins, it will be by making Kearse a big part of their game plan. Expect to see him have his best game yet as a member of the Jets as if last week was any indication, he will get more opportunities to make plays.

Start Kearse in Week 3 action as a FLEX option as he will more than likely continue his ways of scoring touchdowns and coming through in the clutch. He’s a playmaker and one of just a few members of the Jets that are worth starting.

If Kearse continues making such a big impact for the Jets, he will continue to work his way up to possibly being a WR2 option. It’s hard to believe but it won’t be long before the offense of the Jets starts to click on all cylinders.
