Make sure to start these top 5 fantasy football running backs as they’re going to make some serious noise with these favorable match-ups heading into Week 10.

We entered Week 9 with several injuries and 6 teams on a bye. With many valuable fantasy football players out, there were several players we were unsure of coming into this week’s line-up. Needless to say, some of Week 9 sleepers balled out, offering substantial fantasy points per game.

As we approach Week 10, we lose 4 teams to a bye week in the Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and the San Francisco 49ers.

If you’re looking to fill a bye week player, or even looking to replace an ineffective 49ers’ running back, the search is over! I have identified the top 5 running backs to start in Week 10 that will offer sufficient fantasy points per game.

5. DeMarco Murray

DeMarco Murray entered Week 9 with a vengeance, as he faced his former team in the Dallas Cowboys. After a horrible loss Week 2 against Dallas, Murray was eagerly awaiting last week’s game. However, nobody imagined a match-up like that.

Murray had 83 rushing yards for a total of 18 carries. He also caught 6-of-7 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown. He also assisted in a few final drives that ended this overtime game with a win to the tune of 33-27 Eagles.

Murray ended Week 9 with 25 or more fantasy points per game depending on your leagues point values. His Week 10 match-up against the Miami Dolphins seems promising for this running back. Murray is definite start this week.

Next: 4. Ride with this Cowboy

4. Darren McFadden

Although Darren McFadden and the Dallas Cowboys lost to their division rival Eagles in last week’s match-up, he was able to offer some valuable fantasy points per game. McFadden offered fantasy players over 20 points in Week 9 thanks to his efforts.

McFadden caught 1-of-2 targets, and rushed 27 times for a total of 117 yards. Dallas used McFadden on almost every down, which triggered the fantasy scoreboard to slowly increase.

McFadden enters Week 10 as a RB2, and is projected at least 15 fantasy points per game. With fellow running back Joseph Randle’s unknown status, McFadden enters Week 10 as a strong fantasy running back against the abysmal defense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

3. Todd Gurley

Week after week, running back Todd Gurley has excelled at maintaining fantastic fantasy points per game. Depending on your point values, in multiple instances Gurley has cleared 30 or more points easily

Gurley caught 3-of-5 targets in Week 9’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He rushed 24 times for 89 yards and a touchdown. Gurley stands at a RB1 for Week 10’s match-up against the Chicago Bears.

With his high valued fantasy points per game, Gurley is a must start running back for Week 10.

2. Jeremy Langford

Jeremy Langford was a deep sleeper coming into Week 9. However, Monday night offered a shocker when we learned Ka’Deem Carey was going to be starting in Monday night’s match-up against the San Diego Chargers. But, don’t lose hope; Langford ended up being the star running back from the second series throughout the rest of the game.

Langford rushed 18 times for a total of 72 yards. He caught 3-of-4 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 9’s victory over the San Diego Chargers.

Assuming Matt Forte doesn’t play in Week 10, as many have speculated, Langford will see at least 22 touches, which will offer valuable fantasy points per game. Coming into Week 10 Langford stands at a strong RB2, and should definitely start in your Week 10 lineup.

1. DeAngelo Williams

Coming off of my Week 9 sleeper list, I would like to introduce DeAngelo Williams to the fantasy football scene. Coming in strong with over 50 fantasy points depending on your league in the Week 9 match-up verses the Oakland Raiders.

Next: 5 ways Jets can wreck Rex Ryan

Williams caught 2-of-4 targets for 55 yards. Williams also rushed 27 times for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns during the Pittsburgh Steelers win last week.

Week 10 offers Williams no competition as he prepares to defeat the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has the worst run defense in the entire NFL, which will leave Williams an opportunity to light up the scoreboard yet again this week. This RB1 has earned his starting spot in Week 10’s fantasy lineup.
