It is a football Friday everyone. Better than that, many of us are off from work! How great is that? My apologies to anyone that has to work today, hopefully taking a few minutes to catch up with us here at the Jet Press gives you a little bit of a break.

Time to get to the picks for this week. Week 12 was a much-needed rebound week, where we posted a 2-1 mark, the only loss coming from the Kansas City Chiefs. Three more games for you this week, as we attempt to make the journey back to the .500 mark. Let’s get right to it, our picks for week 13 in the NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE! Here we go…….

GAME ONE: BEARS AT THE VIKINGS

We start this week in Minnesota. The 6-5 Bears come in to face the Minnesota Vikings and their 2-8-1 record. The Bears come into this one as a one point favorite, which makes this one an easy choice. They are coming off of a blowout loss at the hands of the St. Louis Rams, and they will play this game angry.

They are coming into this one in the thick of the playoff race, and will win this one easily. Take the……..

Bears -1 over the Vikings

GAME TWO: CARDINALS AT THE EAGLES

Up to Philadelphia for game number two. Two of the hotter teams in the league do battle as Bruce Arians’ 7-4 Cardinals take on Chip Kelly’s 6-5 Eagles. The Cardinals have won their last four, while the Eagles have won their last three. Bruce Arians has done a wonderful job with this Cardinals team, and Carson Palmer has found the fountain of youth of late.

Nick Foles, however, has been lights out of late. Foles has been so good he likely will relegate Mike Vick to the bench for the remainder of the 2013 season. The Eagles are favored by three here, and I expect them to win it by at least three. Take the…….

Eagles -3 over the Cardinals

GAME THREE: RAMS AT THE 49ERS

We hit the late games for the final choice of the week. We head out to San Francisco, the city by the bay, where the 49ers host the all of a sudden lively St. Louis Rams. They have won their last two in a row, and have played quite well in doing so.

Most recently, the Rams blew out the Chicago Bears 42-21. Somehow, as hard as it is for Jets’ fans to believe, an offense coordinated by Brian Schottenheimer and led by Kellen Clemens is playing well. They have caught lightning in a bottle as Tavon Austin has played extremely well. The 49ers are favored by 9 in this one, and they may win. I don’t see them winning by nine. Take the…….

Rams +9 over the 49ers

So, there you have the three picks for this week, the Rams, Eagles, and Bears.

Enjoy the games my friends!
