Todd Bowles: Balanced approach will yield results

When New York Jets’ owner Woody Johnson cleaned house of his franchise after a debacle of a season last year, he knew he needed to find a new head coach that would bring a balance to the entire organization. New head coach Todd Bowles so far has done a fantastic job of bringing in a new era for the franchise while saying and doing all the right things of making his first season with the Jets one to remember.

Not only is he working alongside all his coaches and players, he has a solid relationship with general manager Mike Maccagnan. In what has been a remarkable offseason to remember, the Jets have bolstered all aspects of the team as in the coming months, will try to put everything together to field a contending team this upcoming season.

Of course it’s still very early before opening week arrives but from what everyone has seen at the Jets’ rookie training camp so far this weekend, Bowles is literally involved in everything on the field. From watching defense and course-correcting plays on offense, his balanced approach will definitely yield nice results in the future since he’ll be in the know of everything.

Unlike Rex Ryan and how he was more focused on the defensive side of things, it’s refreshing to see Bowles put precedence on both sides of the football. In the true essence of the sport, you won’t find much success unless all aspects of the team focus on getting the job done and working as a cohesive team, regardless of position.

Overall, it might be a bit too early but Bowles is definitely changing things for the better on the Jets. If he can translate that into wins when the games actually start to matter, there is no telling how far this team can go with Bowles at the helm watching it all unfold.
