First of all, with all due respect to Mr. Cromartie, I love him when he records interceptions, big kick returns, ..etc., but he is not off to any Mensa meetings during the week of games. Watch the segment on “Hard Knocks”, when he revealed the number of kids that he has, and had difficulty remembering their names.
He’s no genius. He never would have made the comments in the first place if he was.
However, now that there was a backlash, here’s an idea. Instead of trying to defend, and justify the remarks, how about saying, “I shouldn’t have said it, I was wrong.”
If you feel your words were twisted, Antonio, why not just back off of them? Say I was wrong for saying them, and that can’t be twisted. Don’t fuel your words by trying to justify them.
Why does he do it? Because he is a man.
And we all can’t admit we are wrong. We all get into trouble for it. Jets players just do it on a larger scale.
But they are just like us in that regard.
