Aaron Rodgers is everything the Jets wanted and more

When New York made the trade to acquire Aaron Rodgers, they were announcing, loud and clear, that the organization was going full-on "Super Bowl or bust" mode. After all, they gave up a decent haul to acquire a 39-year-old veteran quarterback nearing the tail end of his career.

Sound familiar? It should, but that's a story for another time.

Rodgers is just one season removed from winning back-to-back MVP awards, so let's not make this purely about his age. That's just a number, when it's all said and done. The fact is, Rodgers was recently viewed as the league's top quarterback, and has the hardware to prove it. A best-case scenario for the Jets would, of course, be seeing Rodgers enter the MVP conversation once more, only this time in green.

The Jets win the Super Bowl

Again, this team is all-in on a Super Bowl, so of course a realistic expectation would be for the Jets to win it all. Why wouldn't it be? They have an ascending, young defense with talent at all three levels. They have an offense featuring two young, ascending playmakers and, of course, Rodgers under center.

There is no better outcome, this season, than for New York to bring home the Lombardi.
