5. NY Jets draft target: Terrace Marshall Jr.,  LSU

Terrace Marshall Jr. is projected to be drafted in the first or second round, but he could be a great selection for New York with the No. 34 pick.

After Justin Jefferson stormed onto the NFL scene and was one of the best receivers in the game, even as a rookie, a lot of teams will be tempted to follow Jefferson’s roots. The most similar player to Jefferson might be his former LSU teammate, Marshall.

Marshall ended up taking over Jefferson’s role after he went to the NFL, and produced at a similar rate, despite not having Joe Burrow as his quarterback.

Marshall had 48 catches, 10 touchdowns and averaged 15.2 yards per catch in seven games last year. On a normal 15-game pace, Marshall’s stats would have been even better than Jefferson’s, which says a lot about the young wideout.

At 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, Marshall has great size for a wide receiver and can catch any ball thrown his way. Pair him with an incoming rookie quarterback and these two could be one of the best dynamic duos in the league before long.
