The NY Jets are expected to be active in the wide receiver market this offseason, and one of the top names that could be available is longtime Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans.

Evans has spent the last 10 years of his career in Tampa, but he's set to be a free agent this offseason, and the two sides have yet to work out a new deal. There's a chance Evans hits the open market, and if he does, the Jets should be all over him.

That seems to be the sentiment shared by Jets running back Breece Hall as well. Hall recently responded to a post from Pro Football Focus on social media that identified the Jets as one of two logical landing spots for Evans this offseason.

Hall made it pretty clear that he'd love to play with Evans next year and that he'd fully support his team signing the star wide receiver. And why wouldn't he?

Evans may be turning 31 years old before the start of next season, but he's shown no signs of slowing down. The five-time Pro Bowler topped 1,200 yards this past season for the first time since 2018. He also led the NFL with 13 receiving touchdowns.

Evans has remarkably recorded 1,000+ receiving yards in all 10 of his professional seasons to date. That's one shy of the record 11-year streak set by Hall of Famer Jerry Rice. That's how consistently dominant Evans has been.

Not only has Evans been incredibly productive, but he's also remained durable throughout his career. The former first-round pick has played 15 or more games in all but one season in his NFL career — that coming in 2019, when he missed a whopping three games.

Evans would be a perfect complement to Garrett Wilson in the Jets' offense and give the team arguably the best wide receiver tandem in the NFL. He's everything the Jets need and more.

Unfortunately, there remains a strong possibility that Evans will re-sign with the Buccaneers this offseason. Evans reportedly loves playing in Tampa, and the Bucs should have interest in bringing him back. Even if he doesn't re-sign, the Jets will have strong competition for his services.

Nonetheless, if Evans does shake free and test free agency, the Jets would be smart to make him their top target this offseason. Breece Hall approves.
