The NY Jets and the entire NFL world have patiently awaited a decision from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers following his emergence from the darkness retreat he embarked upon last week.

Rodgers has yet to publicly comment since his return, but that's set to change on Wednesday. The 10-time Pro Bowler made an appearance on the "Aubrey Marcus Podcast" where he speaks about his experience in the darkness and maybe, just maybe, his NFL future.

The episode will be released later today, and in the teaser video that Marcus posted to Twitter, Rodgers can be seen contemplating his decision. He says that, during the retreat, he thought about what it would be like to retire and what it would be like to play another year.

Does Rodgers announce his decision in the podcast? I wouldn't count on it, but he sure knows how to make himself the center of attention.

Other NY Jets news

The Jets will play in the Hall of Fame game

The NFL announced on Tuesday that the Jets will take on the Cleveland Browns in this year's edition of the Hall of Fame game in Canton, OH. The game will take place on Aug. 3, and Jets Hall of Famers Darrelle Revis and Joe Klecko, as well as Browns Hall of Famer Joe Thomas, will be honored during the event.

This marks only the third time in franchise history that the Jets have appeared in the Hall of Fame game, and their first since 1992, ending a 31-year drought that was the second-longest in the NFL behind only the Detroit Lions.

The last time the Jets played in Canton, they emerged victorious in a 41-14 rout of the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that featured a Browning Nagle rushing touchdown and a Dennis Byrd interception.

Instead of honoring former running back John Riggins as they did at that year's game, the Jets will now be paying homage to two different legends in Revis and Klecko.

Joe Douglas speaks to the media at the NFL Combine

Jets general manager Joe Douglas spoke to the media at the NFL Combine on Tuesday, and he touched on a variety of topics ranging from the team's quarterback situation to Quinnen Williams to Zach Wilson's future.

Douglas refused to comment on any quarterback not named Derek Carr for tampering purposes, but he did tell reporters that the Jets had a "fantastic" meeting with the former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback.

Douglas also insisted that the team "feels really good" about where they are in regard to a Quinnen Williams extension. He sounded confident that the two sides would strike a deal this offseason.

As for Wilson, Douglas continues to claim that the Jets' stance on their young QB hasn't changed. Douglas believes Wilson has a high ceiling, and the Jets believe that he is going to be able to reach that ceiling — at least according to what they say publicly.
