NY Jets fans are a different breed — we know this. Their most recent fascination is regarding Aaron Rodgers and the Jets' flight plans.

From camping outside of the Jets facility to keep tabs on Robert Saleh's meeting with the team prior to his hiring to snapping photos of Derek Carr meeting with the Jets brass in a local New Jersey restaurant, Jets fans have been known to take high-profile situations to the next level.

That's why it should come as no surprise that one Jets Twitter user, Oliver Cochrane of Jets X Factor, has taken it upon himself to attempt to track the Jets' fight to California.

Team owner Woody Johnson, general manager Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh, and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett are reportedly on their way to California to meet in person with Rodgers.

If the flight Cochrane identified is accurate, this means the Jets were flying over eastern Arizona as of roughly 2:30 pm ET. This checks out too, given that ESPN's Rich Cimini reported that the Jets flight is scheduled to land in Southern California around 4 pm ET.

When could the NY Jets make an Aaron Rodgers trade happen?

The Rodgers situation has accelerated rapidly over the last 24 hours, with the team officially meeting with him virtually on Monday. That meeting reportedly continued into Tuesday before the Jets decided to fly out to meet with Rodgers in person later that day.

The Packers have given the Jets permission to speak to Rodgers, which leads many to believe that the two teams have at least agreed to the framework of a potential trade. It's hard to believe Rodgers and the Jets would be meeting without trade discussions having already taken place.

This also suggests that Rodgers isn't exactly serious about retirement. Why would he meet with the Jets for multiple days and have them fly out to meet him in California if he wasn't serious about playing football in 2023?

As always, nothing here is confirmed, but if the Jets' meeting with Rodgers goes well, we might have a resolution (read: a trade) within the next 24-48 hours.

It's safe to say that Jets fans are going to do everything they can to extract as much information from Rodgers' flight plans and his meeting with the Jets as is humanly possible.
