There is some beef brewing between Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins and, well, essentially the entire NY Jets defense. Sauce Gardner clapped back at Dawkins on social media this week.

Dawkins made an appearance on VladTV earlier in February, where he went on a rant about Jets defensive lineman Micheal Clemons and his rival's entire defense...except for Quinnen Williams.

Dawkins made it clear that he respects Williams, but as for the rest of the Jets' defense, he had some choice words. The Pro Bowl tackle accused Jets players of "playing the sport just to try to be cool" and not "because they love the sport."

"Those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. Like, that's wack."

This isn't the first time that Dawkins has called out the Jets. Following his altercation with Clemons last year, Dawkins insisted that he was "not a fan of the Jets." He referred to his rivals as "very disrespectful."

Gardner took the high road following said altercation, insisting that he had "no issues" with any Bills player. This time, he wasn't going to sit back and let Dawkins slander his teammates.

Gardner took to social media after Dawkins' comments to clear the air. He stated that he plays the game because he loves it and because it allows him to provide for his family. He went on to suggest that he has no "beef" with any player.

In a since-deleted tweet, Gardner did mock Dawkins for his unprompted ran, saying, "He gon' say we be trynna be cool, but went on Vlad and don't have a shirt on," followed by a series of laughing emojis.

There is no love lost between these two teams. Dawkins accused Clemons of talking smack about the entire Bills offense and "disrespecting" Josh Allen during the team's second meeting in November.

That's partially what led to the two AFC East rivals' shouting match in the tunnel following the game. Dawkins and Clemons had to be separated by teammates.

Ultimately, there's nothing wrong with a little heated division rivalry. Clemons poked the bear, and Dawkins is standing up for his teammates. Gardner's response is him doing the same.

The Jets and Bills will look to settle their differences on the gridiron next season, as both teams will hopefully be fighting for first place in the AFC East. If the NFL is smart, they'd probably give this matchup a primetime slot again.
