Rumors have swirled over the last few days that the NY Jets could sign free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham, especially with the former All-Pro wideout reportedly on Aaron Rodgers' wishlist of potential targets.

Beckham is sure to have his fair share of suitors, but the Jets have emerged as a very feasible landing spit in recent days. From Rodgers' wishlist to Sauce Gardner's recruitment, there's a lot of smoke around Beckham potentially returning to New York.

Former Jets nose tackle Damon "Snacks" Harrison took to Twitter on Tuesday to possibly do a little recruiting of his own for his former team. Harrison tweeted a GIF of Robert Saleh with the caption, "Yo OBJ to the Jets?"

Beckham actually responded to Harrison's tweet, posting a simple eyes emoji. It didn't necessarily confirm his interest in the Jets, but it certainly didn't deny it either. If anything, his tweet has many believing that he's very open to joining Rodgers in Florham Park.

Does Odell Beckham make sense for the NY Jets?

There's no question that, when healthy, Beckham was one of the most dynamic wide receivers in football. Unfortunately, he hasn't played a full healthy season since 2019.

Beckham played just seven games in 2020 due to injury and split time between the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams in 2021, before tearing his ACL again in Super Bowl LVI. That's the last time we've seen Beckham on an NFL field.

The upside is tremendous with Beckham, but the Jets must be wary of the amount of money they're prepared to offer. It's also worth wondering how he would fit in with the team's current crop of receivers.

Allen Lazard has been signed to essentially replace Corey Davis. One would assume Randall Cobb could be Braxton Berrios' replacement. If Beckham is signed, who's the odd man out?

That would leave the Jets with a crowded wide receiver room, featuring the likes of Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, Lazard, Beckham, and Cobb. There likely aren't enough snaps to go around for everyone.

It's a tricky situation, but that doesn't mean the Jets shouldn't explore a Beckham addition. If the price is right and the interest from both parties is there, why not swing for the fences with the hope of recapturing some of that prime Beckham magic?

Aaron Rodgers wants Odell Beckham on the Jets, and it appears as though the feeling might be mutual.
