The NY Jets have added a ton of offensive tackle depth to their roster this offseason, and their work might not be over. On Monday, the Jets reportedly hosted former New England Patriots lineman Yodny Cajuste on an official visit.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that Cajuste was set to visit the Jets on Monday, followed by a meeting with the New York Giants on Tuesday. A third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Cajuste has battled injuries in his four seasons in the league.

Cajuste missed his entire rookie season after undergoing quad surgery before a knee injury kept him off the field in 2020. It wasn't until the 2021 season that he finally made his NFL debut.

The former West Virginia standout has started five games and made 17 appearances over the last two years in New England. If signed, Cajuste would join a deep Jets offensive tackle room that also features the likes of Mekhi Becton, Duane Brown, Max Mitchell, Billy Turner, and Carter Warren.

Jets OTAs begin

The Jets officially kicked off the OTAs portion of their offseason on Monday with their first of 10 OTA sessions. This begins Phase 3 of the offseason, meaning that the Jets will be allowed to run 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills during practice.

Most notably, Aaron Rodgers is in attendance for Jets OTAs, despite this portion of the offseason being voluntary. That's a significant change for a player who rarely, if ever, showed up for OTAs in recent years with the Green Bay Packers.

Some other early OTAs notes: Breece Hall (knee) and Mekhi Becton (knee) are in attendance but will not be practicing during OTAs as they continue to rehab. Alijah Vera-Tucker (triceps) will, however, be practicing.

The first OTA session open to the media is today, with other media-friendly practices coming on May 31, June 6, and June 9.

Jets voted against new TNF rule

The NFL has introduced a new rule allowing the league to flex Thursday Night Football games this season. The rule passed with a 24-8 majority vote, but the Jets were one of the teams that voted against it.

Perhaps that's because the Jets could potentially be affected by the change in 2023. The rule only applies to Weeks 13-17, and the Jets just so happen to play the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football in Week 17.

This gives the league an opportunity to flex the Jets/Browns game out of primetime if they decide to, although teams must be given at least 28 days notice. It's also possible that a different Jets game could be flexed into a Thursday night slot.

Needless to say, players aren't too pleased about this change, and evidently, neither are the Jets.
