NY Jets safety Chuck Clark suffered a serious knee injury on one of the final days of OTAs last month. The initial fear was that Clark had suffered a torn ACL, and a second opinion confirmed that was the case.

On Friday, Clark revealed that he had successfully undergone surgery to repair the torn ACL he suffered in practice. Clark suggested that he will miss the entire 2023 season, as was expected.

The Jets traded for Clark with the expectation that he would serve as one of the team's two starting safeties. With Clark sidelined for the season, the Jets went out and signed veteran Adrian Amos to essentially replace him in the starting lineup.

Clark is set to be a free agent at the end of the season, so it's possible that he never actually plays a game with the Jets. Either way, here's to wishing him a speedy recovery.

Terrible Sauce Gardner trade proposal

The NFL offseason is the time for bad, nonsensical trade proposals, and that much was proven with a post on Twitter from The Game Day NFL on Wednesday.

The account suggested a possible one-for-one swap with the Jets sending Sauce Gardner to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Jalen Ramsey. Yes...this was a real mock trade proposal.

While the tweet did imply that the Jets should say no, the fact that this is even a discussion is pretty embarassing. Gardner was not only better than Ramsey last season, but he's also six years younger and on a much cheaper contract.

There is no debate here. We've already wasted too much time talking about it.

Jets players land on NFL's All-Under 25 Team

NFL.com's Nick Shook released his annual NFL All-Under 25 Team on Thursday, and three Jets players managed to make the list of the best players in the league under the age of 25.

Running back Breece Hall, offensive guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, and cornerback Sauce Gardner were the three representatives for the Jets on the list. Garrett Wilson is a notable omission, although it's hard to argue he deserved the honor over the likes of Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase.

Hall and Vera-Tucker remain cornerstones of the Jets' offense, and the hope is that both can pick up where they left off prior to their season-ending injuries last year. Gardner is the centerpiece of the Jets' defense and arguably the best cornerback in football.

The Jets have a young and talented core of players on their roster. Hall, Vera-Tucker, and Gardner are at the forefront of that core.
