The NY Jets officially reported to training camp on Wednesday, and with that came a number of injury designations for a few players. Perhaps the most notable player placed on an injury list was running back Breece Hall.

The Jets placed Hall on the PUP list to start training camp, an expected move for the organization. This means that Hall will be in attendance for training camp but unable to practice until he's activated. The Jets can activate him at any time before the start of the season.

This move doesn't change anything. The Jets remain optimistic that Hall will be ready for Week 1, even if he isn't expected to participate much (if at all) in training camp and the preseason.

The team will get a closer look at Hall over the coming days/weeks, which could influence how aggressive they are in their pursuit of Dalvin Cook. If the Jets become a bit more skeptical about Hall's status, it might prompt them to up their offer for Cook.

Other NY Jets news

Positive Jets offensive line injury update

The Jets placed three other players on the PUP list to start training camp — tight end C.J. Uzomah, wide receiver Randall Cobb, and defensive back Jarrick Bernard-Converse. The more notable takeaway, however, might be who wasn't placed on an injury list.

Despite rehabbing injuries throughout OTAs, the Jets did not place either Duane Brown or Mekhi Becton on the PUP list to start camp. That means that both Brown and Becton will be good to go this summer.

There was optimism that Becton would be ready for the start of training camp, but it's a little more surprising that Brown, who underwent shoulder surgery this offseason, is healthy in time for camp.

Brown and Becton will be competing for the starting left tackle job, although the early assumption is that the former has the inside track. Still, both players being healthy for camp is great news for the Jets.

Numerous teams interested in a Denzel Mims trade

The Jets reportedly plan to waive wide receiver Denzel Mims if they are unable to find a trade partner. It does seem as though there is some interest in the former second-round pick, however.

The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are both reportedly interested in a Mims trade, and the Jets have also called the Dallas Cowboys about a deal, per reports.

It should be noted that Mims' wide receivers coach at Baylor, Frisman Jackson, is currently the Steelers' wide receivers coach. That could persuade Pittsburgh to make a deal.

Don't expect the Jets to get anything more than a conditional seventh-round pick or a pick swap in return, but if the team can get something for Mims at this stage, that should be considered a win.
