NY Jets general manager Joe Douglas fielded questions about the team's acquisition of Aaron Rodgers during his previously scheduled press conference on Tuesday. Today, Rodgers will get the opportunity to answer questions for himself.

Rodgers will have his introductory press conference with the Jets on Wednesday (today) at 2 pm ET. The future Hall of Fame quarterback will no doubt have his fair share of questions to answer.

Rodgers said goodbye to the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday in an emotional Instagram post. One day later, he will officially say hello to his new team and a host of new fans.

After months of waiting, Rodgers is set to finally be introduced by the Jets' organization in a formal capacity. It's happening, folks.

Other NY Jets news

Rex Ryan predicts a Jets Super Bowl appearance

Former Jets head coach Rex Ryan has never been one to shy away from making bold predictions. Ryan infamously predicted that the Jets would win a Super Bowl during his days coaching the team.

Of course, that never transpired, but Ryan never backed down. That's why it should come as no surprise that the former coach-turned-analyst said on ESPN's Get Up on Tuesday that the Jets would be playing in the Super Bowl this season.

Sporting his father's Super Bowl III ring, Ryan proudly proclaimed that Rodgers will lead the Jets to a Super Bowl in 2023. He stopped short of saying the Jets would win the Lombardi Trophy, but he believes they will make it to the Big Game.

Here's to hoping that Ryan's prediction actually comes to fruition this time.

Joe Douglas comments on Corey Davis' future

Amidst the Aaron Rodgers questions, Joe Douglas was asked a quick question about the status of wide receiver Corey Davis during his press conference on Tuesday.

When asked if Davis would be on the roster in 2023, Douglas stopped short of guaranteeing anything. Douglas spoke highly of Davis, calling him a great leader and a "valued member of [the] team and franchise."

However, Douglas notably didn't say anything about whether or not Davis would be on the team. It's very easy to read into that.

Perhaps the Jets will explore their options in the 2023 NFL Draft and make a decision on Davis afterward. Douglas and the Jets like Davis, but no one has guaranteed his return in 2023 to this point.
