NY Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has made the rounds this offseason, appearing at seemingly every high-profile event in New York since being traded. That was once again the case on Sunday.

Rodgers was spotted alongside teammates Randall Cobb and C.J. Uzomah at the US Open tennis tournament in Queens this weekend. It seems as though the Jets' QB was getting in a little extra bonding time with his teammates before the start of the season.

Rodgers has made appearances at a Knicks game, Broadway, and even at a Taylor Swift concert at MetLife Stadium over the last few months. All the while, he's taken that time to improve his bond with his new (or, in some cases, old) teammates.

Rodgers is clearly embracing his time in New York. He's getting in his final extracurricular activities before the Jets kick off their 2023 season next week.

The Jets have the oldest roster in the NFL

The Jets have regularly boasted one of the youngest rosters in the NFL over the last few years, but times have changed in Florham Park. While the Jets still have a young core, their average roster age isn't what it used to be.

In fact, per ESPN's Rich Cimini, the Jets now have the oldest roster in the entire NFL, with an average age of 27.3. That age is no doubt inflated by the elder statesmen on the roster, such as Aaron Rodgers and Duane Brown.

The Jets have their fair share of young building blocks, but they also have 13 players aged 30 or older. That includes a whopping five players who are at least 35 years old.

The average age of the Jets' roster is a little misleading, as many of the team's top players are still 25 years old or younger. Still, there has been an influx of veteran talent over the last few years. That much cannot be denied.

Garrett Wilson doesn't consider himself a 'star'

Garrett Wilson may have only played one season in the NFL, but the 2022 first-rounder is already a star. At least, that seems to be the consensus around the league. Wilson, however, doesn't agree.

The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year told Steve Serby of the New York Post last week that he doesn't consider himself a "star" just yet. He's just getting started.

"I don’t think I’m a star. I just play football. I do it well, luckily, and I’m thankful for all my fans. But I don’t think that I’m a star in this town. There’s so many stars in this town, actual stars and stuff that I definitely ain’t."

Wilson is coming off a 2022 season that saw him finish with 83 catches for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns. It was the best rookie season by a wide receiver in franchise history.

Despite his on-field success, Wilson isn't ready to use the so-called "s-word" at this time. He's choosing to remain humble, even while the accolades stack up.
