The offense was good — the defense was bad. That's how you can sum up the NY Jets game in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts. To take the focus off the loss a bit, let's look at the players who were winners and losers in fantasy football in Week 9.

QB Winners

Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens | 32.6 fantasy points

A wild game for Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens against the Minnesota Vikings. Jackson completed 27 of his 41 pass attempts, throwing three touchdowns but also two interceptions.

Once again, though, his performance as a runner was impressive, with 21 carries for 120 rushing yards. Both in carries and rushing yards, that's a season-best for Lamar Jackson.

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers | 31.6 fantasy points

Justin Herbert carved up the Philadelphia Eagles with incredible precision, connecting on 32-of-38 pass attempts — a completion rate of 84.2 percent.

356 passing yards and two passing touchdowns as well as five rushing attempts for 14 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown underpin Herbert's strong performance.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons | 28.5 fantasy points

In what was a tough first half against the New Orleans Saints, Matt Ryan completed 23-of-30 pass attempts for 343 yards and two touchdowns. Add to that Ryan's first rushing touchdown of the season.

QB Losers

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars | 5.1 fantasy points

Trevor Lawrence couldn't find a means against the Buffalo Bills' strong secondary. He completed 15-of-26 passes for 118 yards and no touchdowns. Lawrence had to leave the game briefly due to an ankle injury.

However, he returned to finish the game. The biggest takeaway for Lawrence in the game.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals | 8.4 fantasy points

Joe Burrow's opening drive against the Cleveland Browns ended with a pick-six for Denzel Ward. After that, the game went the wrong way from the Bengals' perspective.

Burrow completed 28-of-40 passes for 282 yards. It was the first time this season Burrow went without a touchdown.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs | 10.4 fantasy points

For the third straight game, Patrick Mahomes had a good matchup and couldn't make it work for him. He completed 20-of-37 passes for just 166 yards — the fewest he's had this season.

In his last three games, Mahomes has scored just two touchdowns. Too few for a player of his caliber and with the weapons he has at his disposal.
