The NY Jets' offense is once again sputtering against the Miami Dolphins, as Tim Boyle is playing just as poorly (if not worse) than former starter Zach Wilson has. That wasn't the most important story of the afternoon, however. The Jets managed to soil themselves in a way that made the Butt Fumble look like the David Tyree catch.

After intercepting a Tua Tagovailoa pass (their second of the half), Boyle's Hail Mary was intercepted by Jevon Holland and subsequently ran back 99 yards for a Miami touchdown. What was a 10-6 deficit with momentum at halftime became 17-6 in a hurry.

Because the Jets are still the laughingstock of the league and they continuously give social media more ammunition with which to mock them until the end of time, Robert Saleh and Nathaniel Hackett once again found themselves wearing the proverbial dunce cap.

In traditional Jets fashion, they forced two turnovers of Tagovailoa, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Brandin Echols, and they found themselves in a bigger hole after the dust settled. Letting Miami kick a field goal would have been a more prudent option.

The defense may have had some poorly-timed penalties, but they generally held up against a very explosive Miami offense. The fact they are unable to pull out wins is nothing short of a shame.

In what will certainly become a moment that will be memed into oblivion thanks to the hilariously poor timing of it all, Saleh was featured in a commercial for Colgate immediately after the broadcast cut to halftime. Things are just cascading, and Saleh is starting to run out of answers.

The Jets are no stranger to embarrassing plays, especially against the Dolphins. While the recently-dubbed "Hell Mary" hasn't reached the level of the Fake Spike or the Butt Fumble due to the situations both of those games came in, this is certainly right up there with the worst performances in the history of this franchise.

The Jets have never seen an opportunity to humiliate themselves in front of the rest of the NFL world they wouldn't pass up, and what happened against Miami was simply humiliating.

No one's job should be safe, as the Jets created one of the most hard-to-watch football games possible in what has quickly become a season devoid of any positives.
