Former NY Jets safety Jamal Adams may not have played in the Seattle Seahawks' Week 17 win over the Jets, but he certainly gloated as if he did after the game.

Adams took to Twitter following his team's victory to take shots at Jets fans. The former All-Pro safety proudly supported his team while kicking Jets fans while they were down in a series of tweets.

Sunday's game was a reunion for many players on both sides. The likes of George Fant, Duane Brown, D.J. Reed, and of course coaches Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich were playing/coaching against their former team. Meanwhile, former Jets like Geno Smith, Nick Bellore, Jason Myers, and Pete Carroll were doing the same.

Adams wasn't necessarily a part of that reunion, however, as he sat watching from the press box. The 27-year-old safety suffered a torn quad tendon in his team's first game of the season and soon after landed on the injured reserve.

While Geno Smith and others were certainly a bit more cordial about this reunion game, Adams evidently took a different approach.

The NY Jets still obviously won the Jamal Adams trade

Adams may be the one laughing now, but the Jets certainly aren't regretting their decision to trade him a few years back. The former LSU star has yet to play more than 12 games in a season for the Seahawks and has missed a whopping 25 of 50 potential games in three years in Seattle.

Meanwhile, the Jets used the draft capital acquired in the Adams trade to draft likely Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and standout offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker.

Adams has struggled to stay healthy and underperformed when on the field (while being paid $70 million over four years) while Wilson and Vera-Tucker have quickly established themselves as cornerstones to build around.

We'll have to wait some time before Adams and the Jets have another opportunity for a true reunion/revenge game, but for now, Adams' team has won the battle.

The Jets, however, clearly won the war.
