Aaron Rodgers has embraced the city of New York and the NY Jets organization faster than probably anyone could have expected. Any (foolish) concerns about him not being able to handle a big market have quickly disappeared in just a few weeks.

The future Hall of Famer has made himself a regular at local sporting events, quickly bonded with many of his new teammates, and seems to be loving his new environment. Yes, that includes the Jets' fan base.

Rodgers was interviewed in the first episode of the Jets' "Flight 23: Ascension" series on YouTube, and he was asked about what it was like to play the Jets last season. The 10-time Pro Bowler made sure to highlight how well Jets fans traveled for that game.

Rodgers called Jets fans "special" while raving about lively the fan base was at Lambeau Field a year ago.

"The passion you can feel, and I felt it at the end of that game at Lambeau last year. There was obviously so many Jets fans there, and you realize how special that fan base is. They’ll travel, they’ll show up."

Once rumors initially spread that the Jets could trade for Rodgers this offseason, numerous analysts began to question his potential fit in New York. After all, this was an individual who had played his entire career in Green Bay to this point. Could he really handle the bright lights of New York?

As per usual, those concerns were little more than offseason talking points. We're talking about a player who — for better or worse — has been one of the most talked about, heavily scrutinized athletes in the NFL in recent years.

Rodgers is no stranger to attention. He's dealt with his fair share of criticism. If anything, he thrives on it.

Rodgers appears refreshed and remotivated to prove that he still has plenty left in the tank following a disappointing, injury-riddled 2022 season. His enthusiasm and rejuvenated demeanor have been evident every time he's stepped in front of a camera since the trade happened.

The Jets have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations this season, but for them to realize their dreams, they'll need Rodgers to prove that he can still play at a high level.

The good news is that Rodgers seems happier and more motivated than he has in years. Now, the next step is proving it on the field.
