When it comes to fantasy football, running back Bilal Powell enters a favorable match-up heading into Week 16 NFL action.

Chris Ivory has been a well-known name for fantasy owners, as he not only excels at his position, but week after week he offers valuable fantasy points to the scoreboard. Or does he? Some weeks he’s hot coming in with more than 30 fantasy points per game. Then again at times, he barely reaches double-digit points like we saw last week when he earned a miserable five points. In the second half of this season, Ivory has not only slowed down his running game but has made room for another Jet to take off.

Bilal Powell was pretty quiet in the first half of the season. Starting second to Ivory definitely didn’t help his fantasy game. In Week 7, Powell was subjected to an injury, which put him on the back burner yet again. However, in recent weeks Powell has gotten his mojo back and has become the talk of waiver wires this week.

Last week, Powell carried six times for 25 yards and a touchdown. He doesn’t just have a running game either, he also caught 7-of-7 targets for 54 yards. Powell has now scored a touchdown in all of his last three match-ups making him an integral part of any point per reception league, earning at least 20 or more points in the last three weeks.

This week, the NY Jets take on division rivals the New England Patriots. Although the Patriots rank 10th against opposing running backs, his receiving capabilities set him apart from other running backs. Currently, Ivory leads the team in carries, and enters Week 16 a RB1 however, Powell may have a bigger influence in this make it or break (playoff implications) game.

Given his recent success and an important Week 16 match-up, Powell enters Week 16 a must start in the fantasy football championships.
