NFL Draft 2015: The New York Jets Select Bryce Petty With the Fourth Round Pick

The fourth round pick is in. The Jets have selected Bryce Petty, QB from Baylor with their fourth round choice in today’s draft.
The Jets had hinted that another competitor would be coming into the fray at the quarterback position. Bryce Petty will come in and compete with Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The Jets traded up one position, to make the choice of Petty with the 103rd overall selection.

It’s hard to argue with production, and Bryce Petty produced.
Jets fans will have to give this player time to adjust. Bryce Petty spent 78% of the time in shotgun. He is going to have to get used to huddling up, making reads, and understanding an NFL offense. If Petty is given time, he has all of the physical tools to be a successful NFL quarterback.
