Woody Johnson told us all that the Jets were going to get more weapons for Geno Smith, and the Jets made good on their word tonight with their second round selection.

The Jets have taken Devin Smith, WR from Ohio State. Take a look at the stats for Smith while at OSU:

Receiving & Rushing

The Jets hit both a good value pick here with Smith, and a position of need.  I have said it time and time again, how do you help a quarterback?  You get him weapons.  Devin Smith joins a group of weapons that now includes Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley, and Jace Amaro.  Adding Smith to that mix creates quite the formidable wide receiver group.

Smith posted 30 touchdowns in an offense that we all know is a pro-style.  Smith is no stranger to big games playing at Ohio State either.  He should have just the right makeup for the NFL.

Smith was a good choice.
