If you don’t know by now, the Jets have selected WR Devin Smith with their second round pick in tonight’s draft. The vocal bunch known as Jets Twitter has spoken, and the feelings are pretty unanimous. Take a look:

Love the fit of Devin Smith here with Marshall and Decker… need that deep threat. No excuses for Geno now.

Devin Smith: HOME. RUN. THREAT.

Devin Smith’s rookie season will be just like he’s back at OhioSt. 10 plays strictly for him. All 9 routes. Go deep young man. Go deep

Those saying Devin Smith is redundant w/ Kerley on roster…different players. Kerley’s longest play in ’14 was 33 yards @ Miami in Week 17.

Jets fans are thrilled with the choice of Devin Smith. It’s hard not to like it, as the Jets have a real home run threat in Smith. Smith can stretch the field as well as anybody in this draft, and will open things up for Brandon Marshall and company.
