New York Jets Select Leonard Williams With the Sixth Pick in the 2015 NFL Draft

The pick is in, Jets fans. The sixth pick in the 2015 NFL draft has been announced. The New York Jets have selected Leonard Willams, DT out of USC with the sixth pick. Leonard Williams is noted by some as the best player in the draft, on defense. For anyone not familiar with Williams, here are his stats:
Defense & Fumbles
Mike Maccagnan did say that he was going to take the best player available, and most agree that he has done so. Williams will add to a defensive line that boasts Muhammad Wilkerson, Damon Harrison, and Sheldon Richardson. They were one of the top defensive lines in the league in 2014, and adding Williams doesn’t change that.
Personally, I am not in love with the pick. I felt the Jets needed someone off of the edge, like Vic Beasley or Bud Dupree. Everyone had ranked Williams as the second or third best player in the draft, so he is an excellent value at number six.
Just wouldn’t have been my choice.
