2015 NFL Draft: Amari Cooper to the New York Jets in SB Nation Mock

SB Nation put out their weekly mock draft yesterday, and it was an interesting one.
Dan Kadar, draft editor for SB Nation, took an interesting tact this week. Rather than simply posting an opinion mock, he decided to survey the internet. He took a look at 20 mock drafts around the internet, and determined the majority choice for each team. He then either makes the majority choice, or substitutes his own judgement based on the situation.
The pick? Amari Cooper, WR from Alabama. Here is what Kadar had to say, in addition to his findings from the internet survey:
Here is where I exercise my magical veto power to override the pick. First, the popular choice of Mariota is off the board. Next up is Shane Ray of Missouri. To me, this is early for the pass rusher and a better choice is close behind in Cooper.

Based on the scenario in place, Amari Cooper would be a terrific pick in this spot. I mean, not the position that is my first choice, you know I want an edge pass rusher. But, there is no doubt that another receiver would help, and Amari Cooper would fit the bill. With Beasley and Fowler off the board, the Jets can’t go wrong by taking Cooper. They could take Kevin White here, but the two receivers are 1A and 1B. Either one would be a good choice by the Jets.
