Report: Stevan Ridley to Sign with the New York Jets

It looks like the Jets have added to their running back depth chart. Take a look at this Tweet from Insider Ian Rappaport:
Former #Patriots RB Stevan Ridley is signing with the #Jets, source said.

Adam Schefter released similar information a few moments later.
Stevan Ridley was formerly of the New England Patriots, and just a few seasons removed from posting a 1,200 yard season. He is coming off of a serious knee injury, so Ridley will certainly be someone worth watching this Spring and Summer.
No financials were available at the time of this post.
You have to believe that this didn’t cost the Jets a lot. Coming off of an injury like Ridley had, he likely brought in a low number for a salary with incentives based on performance and/or playing time. Ridley is only 26 years old, so should have a lot of good years ahead of him.
He is a quick guy, which will meld nicely with the power game of Chris Ivory. If he is healthy, Ridley might just be one of the big steals of 2015 free agency.
And it takes a guy from the Patriots, which we all know is never a bad thing.
