New York Jets Bring Back Leger Douzable to Defensive Line

The Jets continue to put their roster, and add depth to their defensive line.

Multiple reports have come out that Leger Douzable has been resigned by the team to a one year contract.  In a supporting role, Douzable has come into his own, posting four sacks over the last two seasons.  He has become quite the productive member of the Jets defensive line rotation.

Douzable will not crack the starting lineup unless there is an injury to one of the big guys.  Depth is a great thing, and Douzable adds terrific depth at the position of defensive tackle.

There is no reason not to like this move.  Maccagnan is thinking ahead, still tinkering with the roster to make sure there is quality depth behind the starters.  The Jets defensive line has become a strength of the team over the last couple of years, and having a guy like Douzable to back up the “Sons of Anarchy” will help quite a bit.

My only concern with this off-season to date is with one of those “sons”.  I talked about it earlier this week, but since we are talking defensive line, I want to know, “What about Mo?”  Where is the Wilkerson contract?  Letting that go is going to taint an otherwise terrific off-season.
