New York Jets Jace Amaro Believes in Geno Smith

Many fans have given up on Geno Smith. Jets fans would like to see the team say goodbye to Geno Smith, and make a move to someone new, Marcus Mariota or somebody else. But, don’t tell that to his starting tight end. Jace Amaro took to Twitter on Friday, in defense of his quarterback:
Quit hating on my man @GenoSmith7 jeez people, I believe in him. He’s a great leader and a great teammate. #ATMO

Clearly, Jace Amaro does not want to hear it about Geno Smith. Amaro believes in his quarterback, and is ready to go to battle with him under center.

Whether you agree with him or not, that is exactly what you want from your team and your players. At this point, Geno Smith is the quarterback of the Jets. Could that change? Of course it could. There will be challengers and Geno Smith could definitely find his way to the bench.
But for now, Geno Smith is here. I have said in the past that I believe Geno will be the starter, but that is neither here nor there. For a quarterback to have any chance of being successful, he has to have his players on his side.
Jace Amaro is on Geno Smith’s side, and I think it’s great.
