Todd Bowles Jets coaching staff is starting to come together, as Bowles hired two more guys today.

Per the Jets website, they have hired Ron Heller as their offensive line assistant.  Actually, he would be a rehire, as Heller has worked as the offensive line assistant for the Jets over the past two seasons under Rex Ryan.  Heller spent 12 years as a tackle in the NFL, playing for the Buccaneers, Eagles and Dolphins.  2015 will also mark Heller’s fifth season as an NFL assistant coach.

The Jets have also rehired Steve Hagen as special teams assistant.  Hagen also worked under Rex Ryan over the past two seasons as the tight ends coach, making great stride with rookie Jace Amaro as well as starter Jeff Cumberland.  Previously, Hagen had two different stops working with the Cleveland Browns, with jobs in the college ranks in between.

If nothing else, we can tell that Todd Bowles has a solid reputation around the NFL.  Many of these coaches that have been hired do not have previous experience with Todd Bowles.  Yet, these guys are flocking to come to the New York Jets, which says a lot about how people feel about the new Jets coach.  It’s a good sign.
