So it has come down to this I guess, Jets fans.

According to a report in the Metro, a Jets fan from Great Falls, Virginia has purchased the internet domain name “FireMikeMaccagnan.com”. Jim Brady, a life long Jets fan, purchased the domain so others wouldn’t use it. He felt John Idzik received too much of the blame, and didn’t like the creation of “FireJohnIdzik.com.

I wasn’t so much a defender of Idzik as I felt like he got too much of the blame, and Rex [Ryan] not enough. I was fine with both being let go,” Brady told Metro. “I guess I just felt like all the stuff about the billboard and flying banners over practice was a bit much. I mean, there are plenty of other URLs someone could buy instead, so this doesn’t amount to much.

It’s an admirable move, standing up for the Jets new GM like that. It’s just sad that someone felt they had to do that. Fans of all teams, Jets included, are going to find a way to come up with a website similar to “Fire John Idzik”. It’s silly to spend your money just to keep someone from opening a website. Just don’t pay attention the next time.

But clearly, Jim Brady of Great Falls, Virginia is a good guy.
