The Jets staff is really coming together, both on Mike Maccagnan’s side and Todd Bowles’ side.

First was the much anticipated Rex Hogan signing.  Hogan has been brought on to be the Jets Senior Director of College Scouting.  Hogan spent the last 12 years with the Chicago Bears, the first nine as a college scout, and the final three as a national scout.

Three more assistants were added to Todd Bowles’ coaching staff as well.  Jimmie Johnson is the Jets new tight ends coach, Daylon McCutcheon is a defensive backs assistant, and Ryan Slowik comes on to assist with the Jets defensive line and quality control on defense.

More from Jets News

Johnson comes to the Jets after spending his first eight seasons coaching in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings, leading their TE’s.  He also had a 10 year playing career, with stops in Philadelphia, Kansas City, Detroit and Washington.

Daylon McCutcheon has experience working with both Todd Bowles, and the New York Jets.  He interned in Arizona during camp last season, and interned here with the Jets during the 2013 training camp.

Ryan Slowik also has experience working with Bowles, as an assistant defensive backs coach over the last two seasons in Arizona.  Before that, Slowik coached the Cardinals’ outside linebackers in 2012, and was defensive quality control coach for three years before that.

One thing is for sure, the Jets staff is coming together quickly.
