2015 NFL Mock Draft: New York Jets Get the Marquee Quarterback

It’s time for another mock draft. Now we know who will be running that draft for the Jets, Mike Maccagnan, with input from new head coach, Todd Bowles. They will be in the spotlight in just a few months time.
The Jets have a lot of holes to fill, like quarterback, offensive line, wide receiver, and cornerback, to name a few. Needless to say, Mike Maccagnan’s first draft with the Jets is set to be a huge one. So, where do the Jets go with the first pick.
We all know it’s mock draft season. Daniel Jeremiah, who many of us watch on the NFL Network, recently put out his first mock draft. Who does he have the Jets choosing with the sixth overall pick in the draft? Well, you can see it by the picture above, it is…….
Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
A new regime usually means a new signal-caller. Mariota needs some time to develop, but he could be the answer to the Jets’ QB woes.

It certainly wouldn’t be surprising if the Jets go this way. Like Jeremiah said, a new regime often does bring a new quarterback into the fold. I just don’t believe this is the right one. Watching Mariota play, his fundamentals leave a lot to be desired. Winston is the far-better quarterback in that regard, and if he isn’t available, the Jets should begin a rebuild of the offensive line.
Like I always say, it doesn’t matter who the quarterback is if you can’t block for him.
What do you guys think?
