With the draft positions as the top of the first round set, we are going to see more and more mock drafts begin to come out. Especially with the bowl games in the past, and the deadline to declare eligibility looming, the draft possibilities start coming into focus.

Our friends at NFL Mocks are no exception, as they are well into the Mock Draft season already. Let’s see who they have the Jets choosing at number six. It’s not a quarterback, nor is it Amari Cooper………

Is Geno Smith finally coming around? If the New York Jets think so then it’s imperative they keep building around him. That involves reloading his offensive line with blockers. Andrus Peat has great size and length to go with good technique.

It’s hard to hate this pick. Aside from Nick Mangold, the Jets offensive line has grown steadily weaker. I’ll say it again, nothing else works if you don’t have a good offensive line.

With Brandon Scherff out of the mix, this is certainly a solid pick. It’s not the exciting draft choice that most fans will be looking for, but it will be one that helps the Jets improve.
