Report: New York Jets Will Fire Both Rex Ryan and John Idzik

The report in and of itself is not that surprising. For most, it is a forgone conclusion that Rex Ryan and John Idzik will both be out of work come Monday. This report by Brian Custer of SNY is not breaking any new ground, if true. But, if you believe the report, the details are interesting. Let’s look at a series of tweets from Custer:

Apparently, Woody likes Rex but says he was in every personnel meeting & always agreed! Never spoke up if he didn’t agree. His downfall!

Interesting. We all thought that Rex Ryan had been “neutered”. If this is true, Ryan really was! It seems hard to believe that our coach Ryan would not stand up for what he needed on the roster. Rex Ryan truly is not the same guy he was when he arrived, if this report is accurate of course.

It’s no surprise that Woody is not happy with John Idzik’s draft class. Who is?
