New York Jets: Sheldon Richardson Earns Team MVP Honors

Sheldon Richardson has been getting after the quarterback, and everybody else, all season long. His teammates have noticed.
The Jets have released their list of team awards today, and Sheldon Richardson heads the list, earning the Curtis Martin award for team MVP. Richardson has posted 63 tackles, 39 of them solo, to go along with seven sacks, a forced fumble, a safety, and a pass defense. Richardson continues to excel, and will only get better.
Here are the rest of the team awards:
Dennis Byrd Award: Most inspirational player(voted on by teammates)OLB Calvin Pace
Kyle Clifton Award: Good guy(voted on by Jets’ staff)TE Zach Sudfeld
Bill Hampton Award: Rookie who acts most like a pro in locker room(voted on by equipment staff and past winners)OG Dakota Dozier

Ed Block Award: Most courageous player(voted on by teammates)S Rontez Miles
Personally, I find it interesting that Kyle Wilson wins an award that has nothing to do with his football ability. It explains a lot, don’t you think? Sheldon Richardson certain deserves the Curtis Martin award, a hard-working player no matter what the situation.
He knows how to “Play Like a Jet”.
