Muhammad Wilkerson: New York Jets Nominee for Man of the Year Award

Muhammad Wilkerson was given quite the honor by the NFL just earlier today.

Each year, the league nominates a player from each team for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Walter Payton was known as both a model of consistency and excellence on the field, and a model citizen off of the field, and this award honors a player that meets that distinction. Muhmmad Wilkerson was the choice by the group from the New York Jets.

Each nominee receives a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice. The three selected finalists receive an additional $5,000, and the winner receives an additional $20,000.

To be one of 32 players selected in the entire league is a testament to the character of Muhammad Wilkerson. Congratulations to Big Mo. Here is the list of all of the nominated players:
