Tickets to See the New York Jets vs the Buffalo Bills in Detroit Are Free

For a league that typically makes every penny that it can, they are getting something right for Monday’s game in Detroit.
Per a report from ESPN, tickets to Monday night’s game between the Jets and the Bills will be available for free. Tickets came available yesterday for season ticket holders, and today for the general public, to obtain tickets to Monday’s game via the Detroit Lions website. Free tickets to the game will also be available at the Ford Field box office on Sunday and Monday prior to the 7 PM kickoff. The tickets are general admission, so if you are planning to attend, the seats will be on a first come, first serve, basis.

Ford Field typically runs a 50/50 raffle, and has done so at each of the Lions home games so far this season. For the Jets game, the 50/50 raffle will take place, and the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross of Western and Central New York Disaster Relief Fund. If past performance is indication, our neighbors to the west will do well, as the previous 50/50 raffles have averaged $100,000 in the pot.
Great job by the NFL here. This event is providing the perfect avenue for the league to make a game accessible, and help the community at the same time.
It’s nice to see. It will be even nicer if the Jets can come out of Detroit with their second straight win.
