Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Jets Wednesday Injury Report

The Jets play host to the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday for a 1:00 PM kickoff at Metlife Stadium. The Jets have lost eight straight games, and will look to get back on the winning side of things this week against a very hot Steelers team. Let’s take a look at the injuries for both teams midway through the week.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Did Not Practice- DE Brett Keisel, TE Heath Miller, S Michael Mitchell , C Maurkice Pouncey ( all not injury related) , S Tory Polamalu ( knee) , LB Ryan Shazier ( Ankle), S Shmarko Thomas ( hamstring) , S Ross Ventrone ( Hamstring) , LB Jason Worilds ( Abdomen)Analysis- Some big names mentioned here for the Steelers. The team has already announced that neither Polamalu or Shazier will play this week. Those are two starters that the team will definitely miss.

Limited- DE Cameron Heyward ( Non injury) , CB Ivan Taylor ( forearm)Analysis- Another starter listed here for the Steelers in Heyward. He is a name to keep an eye on this week.

New York Jets

Did Not Practice- OL Breno Giacomini ( Illness) , DL Sheldon Richardson ( Illness) , DL Mo Wilkerson ( Ilness) , DB Darrin Walls ( Calf)Analysis- Rex Ryan was not very optimistic that Walls would be able to play this week. For three others, expect all three to ready to go come Sunday.

Limited- WR Percy Harvin ( Heel).Analysis- Harvin said he simply got cut at one point during practice today. He was not concerned and said he was fine. He will be active on Sunday.

Full- OL Oday Aboushi ( Shoulder), LB Antwan Barnes ( Knee) , OL Willie Colon ( Knee) , LB David Harris ( Shoulder) , RB Chris Johnson ( Ankle) , OL Nick Mangold ( Shoulder) , LB Trevor Reilly ( Knee) , WR Greg Salas ( Wrist) , QB Geno Smith ( Shoulder) , QB Mike Vick ( Foot)Analysis- Expect all these guys to be ready to go on Sunday. Geno Smith will most likely be active after missing last weeks game with a right shoulder injury.
