No official word has come from the team as of yet, but the worst is feared on Dee Milliner and Brian Winters. The MRI results either aren’t in, or haven’t been announced yet, but coach Ryan fears that both Milliner and Winters are finished for 2014. Both of them suffered Achilles injuries in yesterday’s game against the Broncos. Here was Rex’s response when asked if they may be lost for the year:
But there’s probably a definite chance of that.
If true, Oday Aboushi would take Brian Winters’ spot at left guard. Rex hinted that the Jets may look to sign someone to replace Milliner if he is lost for the year, and he may be dressed for the Patriots game. He obviously would have to be able to pick up enough of the system to play, even part-time.
As always, we will believe it when we see it with John Idzik. But if they want someone experienced enough to be ready for Thursday, Champ Bailey is still unemployed…….just a thought.
