Soon after the news broke about Dee Milliner heading to season ending IR, the same can now be said for starting left guard Brian Winters. The fear was grave, and the fears are now real. Winters tore his ACL and his heading to season ending IR as well. He had his problems on the Jets’ offensive line, he was not exactly a fan favorite. But, the Jets don’t have a lot of depth anywhere, especially on offense, so any loss is a huge one.
To replace Winters on the roster, the Jets have signed OL Wesley Johnson. Previously of the Steelers, Johnson was drafted in the fifth round of this past year’s NFL draft. He may compete for time along with incumbent roster member Oday Aboushi.
Just another day in the life of the 1-5 New York Jets. It goes from bad to worse, and who knows where it will go next. Bad news does come in three’s.
