The Jets need to turn it around today. Going 1-4 will be a dangerous hole to come out of, but it won’t be easy. The Jets have it rough today, as the Chargers are a potent offense. Mike McCoy has them running on all cylinders, as efficiently as they ever have run under Philip Rivers‘ leadership. One of their weapons that is still going strong is tight end Antonio Gates. We know how tough he is to guard.

But, the Jets have their own, baby Gates, as it were. Quietly he is tied for eight in the AFC in tight end receiving yards with 125. He must play a significant role today. His name is Jace Amaro.
The Chargers are susceptible to the pass. They are allowing opponents to complete over 66% of their passes against them. Over the last two weeks, the Chargers have allowed 74 yards, and 70 yards to opposing tight ends. Not astounding numbers by any means, but certainly solid. Add that to a laundry list of injuries, and Amaro should have his opportunities this afternoon.
For the Jets to win today, they are going to have to make use of all of their weapons. Jace Amaro is an emerging weapon and the Jets had better make use of him today.
