Last night, the Jets cut the roster down to 81. Well, John Idzik and company were working hard through the night, because the Jets have cut their roster down to the Tuesday requirement of 75. Here are the six additional cuts:
JACOBY FORD, WRMICHAEL CAMPBELL, WRCOLIN ANDERSON, TECHAD YOUNG, FBANTHONY GRADY, DERAS-I DOWLING, CB

Again no major surprises here. The one that might qualify in the slight surprise category is Jacoby Ford, as they did have intentions on him returning kicks. Saalim Hakim, however, took care of that necessity by doing a good job returning kicks for the Jets.
I personally saw some good things out of Colin Anderson while watching him work in Cortland, but the fact is that the tight end depth chart is very deep at the position, so the likelihood of adding another tight end to the mix was not huge by any stretch.
We really didn’t hear much from the remaining cuts, so seeing them released by the Jets is not a shock by any stretch of the imagination.
