After John Idzik announced hours ago that Dimitri Patterson was missing, and couldn’t be found by the team, we have some news. According to Drew Rosenhaus, his agent, as reported by Rich Cimini, Dimitri Patterson is set to return to the Jets sometime later on today.

Prior to the news we have now, all we knew was that Patterson was missing, and not returning calls from the team officials.  Patterson went through morning walkthroughs, breakfast…etc., but was gone after that.  He was initially believed to have been stuck in traffic on Friday night, but his lack of response to messages ignited the worry.

John Idzik has said he wants to sit down with the oft-injured cornerback before deciding what, and if, Patterson will receive punishment.  He wants to know what drove Patterson to do what he did before coming down with a decision regarding punishment.

Will this cost him his roster spot?  Or, will Idzik decide to him Patterson with a fine instead?  Maybe he will do nothing at all.

We will find out sooner rather than later.
